A Complete Renovation from the Ground Up

The client, Tom, wanted more than just a new look—he needed a complete transformation. From rebuilding walls and ceilings to installing a sleek, modern suite, this job required detailed craftsmanship, creative problem-solving, and high standards at every stage.
The Brief: A Modern Bathroom, Built to Last
Tom approached us with a clear vision: rip out the existing space, reconfigure the plumbing, reinsulate and plaster all walls, and install an entirely new bathroom suite. He also wanted a flush shower tray, repositioned toilet and radiator, and a flawless tiled finish throughout.
Despite the size of the room, this was no small job. The bathroom’s original condition was, in a word—horrendous. As with many Victorian properties in Tunbridge Wells, the walls were warped, the ceiling uneven, and the internal structure in poor shape.
The Process: Strip, Rebuild, & Refine
We began with a full rip-out of the old suite, followed by careful rerouting of plumbing and electrics to suit the new layout. From there, the real craftsmanship began:
✓ Stud wall work to straighten distorted walls
✓ Installation of a false ceiling to conceal old imperfections
✓ Full insulation and plastering to regulate temperature and create a flawless base
✓ Precision tiling throughout the space
✓ Fitting the new bathroom suite, including a wall-hung vanity, back-to-wall WC, flush shower tray, black framed shower screen and matt black brassware
Every detail—from the tile alignment to the finish of the plaster—was treated with precision. Despite the structural challenges, the job was completed in just under three weeks.

The result is a sleek, contemporary bathroom that wouldn’t look out of place in a design magazine. Smooth walls, balanced lighting, and a clean monochrome palette come together to create a space that’s as functional as it is stylish.
